Licensing

Clear terms, straightforward use

I want you to feel confident using my music in your projects. This page explains what a standard purchase from the Songs catalog includes, when to reach out for something custom, and how delivery works. If anything is unclear, send a request— I'd rather answer questions up front than leave you guessing.

At a glance

  • Master recording only — you are licensing my recording, not the underlying musical composition (songwriting rights stay with me unless we agree otherwise in writing).
  • Personal listening and commercial use — royalty-free use in YouTube, Twitch, podcasts, client work, and other media you create.
  • Non-exclusive by default — others may also license the same track; exclusive deals are negotiated separately.
  • WAV + MP3 delivered by email with a secure download link after checkout.
  • No refunds on catalog orders once digital files have been delivered.

What your purchase includes

When you buy a track from the Songs page, you receive a non-exclusive license to use that master recording in your own creative work. Use is royalty-free — you do not owe ongoing royalties for using the licensed file in projects covered by these terms.

You may use the music for:

  • Personal listening
  • Commercial projects, including YouTube videos, Twitch streams, podcasts, social content, indie games, films, and other media of your choice

Files included: WAV and MP3 versions of the purchased track. Other formats (stems, alternate mixes, etc.) are available for custom commissions — not included in standard catalog checkout.

Attribution & edits

  • Most online and small-to-mid commercial use: attribution is appreciated but not required unless noted below.
  • Larger media (films, video games, and similar): please credit HunterH Music(or "Hunter Herrlinger") in your credits, description, or liner notes where practical.
  • If you modify or edit the audio and publish that version: attribution back to me is required, regardless of project size.

Films and games do not have to go through a custom request to use a catalog track — a standard purchase can cover your project. For large-scope work, I highly recommend reaching out anyway so I understand your scene, platforms, and credit preferences. That helps me support you properly and avoids surprises later.

Exclusive vs non-exclusive licensing

Non-exclusive means you may use the licensed recording in your projects, but I may continue to license the same master to other customers. Every purchase from the Songs page is non-exclusive unless we have a separate signed agreement.

Exclusive means you (or your project) would be the only party allowed to use that specific master recording going forward, for the scope we define. Exclusive licenses require a custom quote, affect pricing and availability, and are not available through standard cart checkout.

If exclusivity matters to your brand, game, or release, mention it in a request before you rely on a catalog purchase.

What is not included

  • Ownership or licensing of the composition (melody, harmony, lyrics, songwriting) — only the recording
  • Reselling, redistributing, or sublicensing the raw audio files (e.g. selling the WAV/MP3 as a sample pack or stock library item)
  • Claiming you wrote or produced the underlying musical work when you did not
  • Exclusive rights, unless agreed in writing

Delivery, downloads & refunds

Orders from the Songs page are fulfilled digitally. After successful payment, you receive an email with a secure link to download your files from cloud storage.

Download policy: each purchase email includes a link that stays active for 24 hours. You may download the files multiple times during that window (for example, on your studio machine and laptop). If your link expires before you finish downloading, use Support to resend links or contact support@hunterh-music.com with your order reference (cs_... from your confirmation page).

Because files are delivered immediately and can be copied, catalog orders cannot be refunded once delivery has been sent. Please preview tracks on the site before buying.

When to submit a custom request

A standard catalog license is built for creators who found a track that already fits. If your project needs something the store cannot provide on its own, start a conversation — no pressure, just clarity.

Should you submit a custom request? YES and PREFERRED mean reaching out first is usually best; DEPENDS means it may still work — share your project details.
